Board Member Spotlight: Beth Stolarick

BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

When did you get involved in EcoWomen? Why?

I got involved during 2020 and wanted to be part of an organization which empowers and develops women and to become champions for the environment. It represented an opportunity for me to combine my professional experience with my personal passion.

How were you involved in EcoWomen?

I joined the national board in 2020 first to be a member of the finance and chapter committees. I then have had the opportunity to serve as treasurer and board recruitment chair for the past 2 years. I have enjoyed being part of the executive leadership committee as well as involved in the recruiting of new members. It has been great working with such a great team of talented and committed women!

What keeps you motivated?

I think of this quote from Thich Nhat Hanh: “To live in the present moment is a miracle. The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green Earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.” And my responsibility to preserve the peace and beauty currently available to me for future generations.
